I was playing random music on iTunes for shimmeringjemmy
I heard the familiar opening chords of that bygone hit of the 70’s… (see music)
I tried to stop it, she said, “What’s this.”
I let it play to the chorus. I made hand letters.
“Ah, some song that must have been horribly overplayed in its time.”
me, “You mean you’ve never heard this one?”
“Nope.”
I stopped the music, “I think we’ll leave it that way.”
Perhaps there is hope for mankind after all.

Be glad you don’t have kids. I did YMCA Indian Princesses with my daughter, and at every skate night, guess what…
Y M C A!
[and the kids didn’t even understand what it was saying]
If anyone ever tries to make me listen to Smoke On The Water again, there will be mayhem and bloodshed, weeping and gnashing of teeth, etc.
hahah. yeah, that’s one to let lie. *g*
The first time I ever encountered “La Macarena” was several years after it was a craze. There’s something to be said for being sheltered…or, at least, for not listening to music during certain periods.
