Let&#8217;s see if anyone can help.<\/p>\n<p>I am looking for a $.50 word.<\/p>\n<p>The concept is, &#8220;having the bad reputation associated with&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As in &#8220;Having <i>the talk<\/i> with my boyfriend always <u>carries with it the bad impression<\/u> that we&#8217;ll end up breaking up.<\/p>\n<p><i>Shadow<\/i> comes to mind. But that&#8217;s not right.<\/p>\n<p>Of course it&#8217;s Saturday morning on the West coast.
