The iTunes music store.<\/p>\n<p>Not a lot, but some.<\/p>\n<p>There also came a Mac fan-boy who was a Disc Jockey in the 80s. There also came <a href=\"http:\/\/lordandrei.livejournal.com\/121322.html\">a livejournal post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the original post I went &#8220;Shopping.&#8221; I was looking for the music that I would buy. I turned up a rather lengthy list of requests that would go unfulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>With the advent of a &lt;sarcasm&gt;whopping&lt;\/sarcasm&gt; 2000 videos. It too is now gone.\n<\/li>\n<li>Nena &#8211; This is a shame. The career of Nena has actually grown in Europe over the years. But this song in original form (and I mean before that horrible English Bastardization) is not available. However, there is a stunning <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?selectedItemId=14752416&#038;id=14752407\">reworking of the song<\/a>. Might be worth checking out.\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=2083606\"><strong>Creedence Clearwater Revival<\/strong><\/a>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=1248588\">The Doors<\/a><\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li>The Beatles; Well as long as Apple Music and Apple Computers are not happy with each other&#8230; I wouldn&#8217;t hold my breath here.\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=4512388\">The Monkees<\/a><\/strong>. I would like to add in an absolute moment of joy to discover they also have the rather obscure <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=23419334&#038;s=143441&#038;i=23419336\">Missing Links, Vol 2<\/a>; which contains the absof&#038;^#ing best thing the group ever did. A Spanish holiday aCapella piece: <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=23419334&#038;s=143441&#038;i=23419386\">Riu Chiu<\/a>; the discovery of which I owe entirely to <a href=\"http:\/\/lrstrobel.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">lrstrobel<\/a>. If you like aCapella, <strong>check this out<\/strong>.\n<\/li>\n<li>Tim Curry &#8211; Maybe it&#8217;s best that such old standards as, &#8220;I do the Rock&#8221; and &#8220;Paradise Garage&#8221; are lost \ud83d\ude09\n<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=549454\">Jim Steinman<\/a><\/em> I italicize this instead of bold; because.. well one partial album out of his solo work. It&#8217;s a start&#8230; but missing his good stuff. By the way, the iTunes &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/com.apple.jingle.app.store.DirectAction\/viewPublishedPlaylist?id=54231\">Jim Steinman Tribute<\/a>&#8221; mix list of his other songs is sadly lacking.\n<\/li>\n<li>Art of Noise\n<\/li>\n<li>XTC &#8211; Could someone call Chalkhills and get them on iTunes? For those that don&#8217;t know; the lead singer did the theme to Wonderfalls. Well, at least Primus&#8217; version of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=112332&#038;s=143441&#038;i=112324\">Making Plans For Nigel<\/a>&#8221; is available. Which reminds me&#8230; thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/ariche.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">ariche<\/a> I should point out <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?id=44819335\">Nouvelle Vague<\/a>. I&#8217;m not going to elabourate; you&#8217;re just going to have to go there yourself.\n<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=81761511\">Mannheim Steamroller<\/a><\/em> A new Halloween album. That&#8217;s it. Because; this group never did anything else for the holidays, eh? This is like posting the Nylons and then listing only the album they did with instruments. No, that one isn&#8217;t there either \ud83d\ude42\n<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=65278738\">Taco<\/a><\/em>; I know what I was looking for. You know what I was looking for. They know what I&#8217;m looking for. There is however an album with reworkings and remixes of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?id=78914903\">Puttin&#8217; on the Ritz<\/a>&#8220;. (Now, if Peter Boyle had done it even once; then maybe I would have watched Raymond)\n<\/li>\n<li>The Vapors &#8211; no. Only really one cut looking for from this one hit wonder. But a search did turn up two kinda thrashy covers.\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=28426427\">Tommy James and the Shondells<\/a><\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=887890\">Tiffany<\/a><\/strong> I really only went here, because after Mony, Mony and &#8220;I think we&#8217;re alone now&#8221; this is the one you think of next.  Interestingly the search on iTunes had 5 versions of the song. May I strongly suggest the <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=75005156&#038;s=143441&#038;i=75004795\">one by &#8220;Screeching Weasel&#8221;<\/a> pays the song the most justice.\n<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=13125773\">Housemartins<\/a><\/em> London 0 Hull 6 was a great album that gave way to an extended play single cut album that had the aCapella spiritual hit, &#8220;Caravan of Love.&#8221; Interestingly, when the latter was released; the album jacket had an apology from front-man Dino Lenny apologizing for having to resort to instruments on the previous album. The album was called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?s=143441&#038;playlistId=527992\">Let&#8217;s Knife<\/a>&#8221; and the inane song was called &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=527992&#038;s=143441&#038;i=527952\">Twist Barbie<\/a>.&#8221; Only J-Pop could bring us such weird fun.\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=93548\">Split Enz<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?id=93571\">True Colours<\/a> (Only one cover in the album art \ud83d\ude09 and <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?id=353365\">History Never Repeats<\/a> All their early stuff is missing.\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=917632&#038;s=143441&#038;i=917628\">Time after Time &#8211; Hooters<\/a> I am impressed. The Eastern Pennsylvania group that brought us &#8220;Day By Day&#8221; and &#8220;And We Danced&#8221; (Both on &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=1180658&#038;s=143441&#038;i=1469539\">Nervous Night<\/a>&#8220;)is not remembered for the short appearance of an unknown &#8220;Cyndi Lauper&#8221; in their mix. I&#8217;d be more impressed if this recording had her in it rather then them singing it in retrospect.\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewArtist?id=147445\">John Fogerty<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/phobos.apple.com\/WebObjects\/MZStore.woa\/wa\/viewAlbum?playlistId=3446693&#038;s=143441&#038;i=3446691\">Vanz Kant Danz<\/a> There is a long and passionate story in my history about this song.
