She has been rude to me. She has been brusque with me. She&#8217;s trying to intervene in my life and my relationships. She&#8217;s dragged me out of the house in the middle of the night with obscenely inappropriate demands. It&#8217;s impressive that she hasn&#8217;t gotten me arrested by now.<\/p>\n<p>And over 20 years&#8230; I&#8217;d let her do it all again and even moreso. Because everything in my life she has done with me, for me, or even to me&#8230; has enriched my life.<\/p>\n<p>I am a better person than I would ever be if it weren&#8217;t for you.<\/p>\n<p>My life, my gratitude, and some of the deepest love I can have for a person goes out to you this day.<\/p>\n<p>And as per my promise&#8230; I have that view, and two rocking chairs. And we&#8217;re both sufficiently on our way to those grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Happiest of Birthdays, <a href=\"http:\/\/fiannaharpar.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">fiannaharpar<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Counting the years that pass in our lives is so much more blessed because counting them means you&#8217;ve been in my life that much more.<\/p>\n<p><!--more And if you want to know how she made me cry...--><br \/>\nJenn&#8217;s birthday wish to me 3 weeks ago:<br \/>\n<b>There is no one else on the planet that I would rather sing &#8220;The Battle Hymn of the Republic&#8221; with<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Apr. 3rd, 2008 at 1:47 PM<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve known you for just over half of my life. We&#8217;ve entered that state where we&#8217;ve been friends longer than we weren&#8217;t friends. We&#8217;ve been through dating, marriages, Diane, divorce, children, a cross-country move, a cross-coastal move, the SCA, my early 20&#8217;s, your father&#8217;s death, a micronation, the RHPS floor show, and WEYQ. We will be through much more together as the years continue to pass. Good and bad.
