For those out of the area and for those that haven’t posted yet… at about 11:15 this morning, California woke up and stretched.<\/p>\n

A 6.5 Earthquake hit Sam Simeon, California<\/a> (and a nice 4+ aftershock)<\/p>\n

If you live in California, go to the “Did you feel it?” link. Even if you didn’t feel it. This helps them learn a lot.<\/p>\n

This is the 4th that I’ve felt. I wish I could find the words to explain how it feels. It’s like being in a boat and a small wave goes under the boat. You just sort of feel a little swaying floaty for about 5-10 seconds.<\/p>\n

The location, Sam Simeon, is about halfway between L.A. and S.F. So, if we felt it in L.A. they probably felt it in S.F. And there may yet be more. There is a HIGH likelihood of a big aftershock<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So far there have been over 40 aftershocks in the area<\/a> running from 2.1 to 4.7<\/p>\n
