It would seem that one of the developers on the Safari project at Apple is publishing a blog to tell people exactly what is going into the WebKit in future releases and even affording people commentary on this.

Personally, I have to admit that I think that Apple is doing this entirely correctly.

First off they release a browser with a bug button so you can submit a page that doesn’t render correctly back to the developers to figure out what’s wrong.

Then, they announce that the app is really just a wrapper for the HTML render engine and that the render engine is a developable API for anyone on the platform.

Okay… I cheated… alot.

I was trying to find 10 people in L.A. I know and was trying to see if I could get no tricksters. It wasn’t easy. I had to eliminate people I wanted on the list (including shimmeringjemmy who kept taking all my candy and giving me socks.)

The guest map redux

Last week, well okay… 6 days ago I introduced the GuestMap which I had cribbed from coryphella.

Sadly, shortly after setting it up and posting, their site went down.

As promised I have moved the GuestMap badge into the right side of my main journal page in the Net Badges section. Give it a whirl… I do suggest, however, zooming in to place your icon. Also, the flag does not preempt the chosen icon, it adds it in as if to say, “Hi, I’m from X”
