California has some really potent road rage laws on the books. This of course does not stop the average Californian from being a passive-aggressive danger to everything on the road.

The near entry onto the highway near my house requires very careful timing. The on-ramp is about 15 feet long with about 1/8 mile visibility that ends in a sharp turn. Effectively, you need to enter the highway and gun it for safety.

We have a new manual transmission. What this mean is that on occasion a gear will stick and not hit as planned. Today this happened.

How I almost became a victim of a road rage incident…

I cribbed this one by a welcome return post by dfiresto

You know you’re living in 2004 when…

1. You accidentally enter your password on the microwave.

2. You haven’t played solitaire with real cards in years.

3. You have a list of 15 phone numbers to reach your family of 3.

4. You e-mail the person who works at the desk next to you.

5. Your reason for not staying in touch with friends and family is that they don’t have e-mail addresses.

6. You go home after a long day at work you still answer the phone in a business manner.

7. You make phone calls from home, you accidentally dial “8” to get an outside line.

8. You’ve sat at the same desk for four years and worked for three Different companies.

10. You learn about your redundancy on the 11 o’clock news.

11. Your boss doesn’t have the ability to do your job.

12. You pull up in your own driveway and use your cell phone to see if anyone is home.

13. Every commercial on television has a website at the bottom of the screen.

14. Leaving the house without your cell phone, which you didn’t have the first 20 or 30 (or 60) years of your life, is now a cause for panic and you turn around to go and get it.

15. You get up in the morning and go online before getting your coffee.

16. You start tilting your head sideways to smile. 🙂

17. You’re reading this and nodding and laughing.

18. Even worse, you know exactly to whom you are going to forward this message.

19. You are too busy to notice there was no #9 on this list.

20. You actually scrolled back up to check that there wasn’t a #9 on this list AND NOW YOU ARE LAUGHING at yourself.

Yes I admit it.

Poing.

Go away.. I’m watchin’ football ‘n at.

Die Raiders! Die!

so some of you won’t have access to this.

So, CNN reports that Kevin Smith is going into production on Clerks 2

Love him, hate him. He makes good movies. I admit I have yet to see Chasing Amy or Jersey Girl.

Sayeth CNN:

The sequel picks up 10 years later.

“It’s about what happens when that lazy, 20-something malaise lasts into your 30s. Those dudes are kind of still mired, not in that same exact situation, but in a place where it’s time to actually grow up and do something more than just sit around and dissect pop culture and talk about sex,” Smith said during an interview at his Hollywood office. “It’s: What happened to these dudes?”

Personally, I’m concerned with Jason Mewes. The last I’d heard (I’ll try to find a link) he’s basically needed to utterly eschew Jay to help clean up his life. I need to find reference on that. If anyone has a link, please tell me. But Smith is really positive about the film and comments in the viewaskew forum that this is a Dante and Randall film with a small appearance by Jay & Silent Bob. No cameos, no stars.

So, is it time for a sequel in the Askewniverse? I guess we are left with the phrase, “Trust in Smith” I guess we’ll know within 18 months.
