Heroes Theories

I have read comic books for too damned long for my own good.

Somewhere in history around the beginning of season 6 of Buffy (in a post I can not find) I wrote about the upcoming season 6:

It’s gotta be Willow this year. She’s just too damned strong. But something is going to drive her over the edge. Probably one of the 3 geeks will injure/kill tara. We know how well Willow deals when she loses someone… It’s usually magick and it’s bad. You’ll get some killer Buffy vs. Big Bad Willow stuff going on. Now if I were writing it. I’d have Xander be the one who saves the day. Not buffy. He’s known Willow the longest. He can get right into the core of who she is no matter what they do to “big-bad-ify” her.

This little pronouncement got me invited at my first DragonCon to sit on a few Buffy panels concerning Story Arc.

Currently, my favourite show hands down is Doctor Who. This post. Has nothing to do with Doctor Who.

My second favourite show, on the other hand is “Heroes”

Heroes has some amazing writing that just happens to be all interwoven sooper sekrit arc.

Today after being given a small hint… My mind blew up and I came up with some very strong theories.

If you are not watching Heroes… (Well you should)… If you are watching it and don’t like spoilers/theories… you really don’t want to click ahead… But in general… I have an idea.

SPOLIERS? Well, if you’d been wondering…

For those watching Heroes, the License plate on Hiro’s father’s car was in fact “NCC 1701”. For those who aren’t watching… Hiro’s father is being played by George Takei

All I have to say about tonight’s episode…

That’s probably going to greatly reduce the number of “Claire-Peter” ‘shippers

See if you can spot the happiness in this picture

Haven’t hopped on the Heroes bandwagon?

Waiting because you’ve missed episodes?

Don’t want to pay for iTunes?

NBC has now posted all 11 episodes from the 1st half of the season.

You will have to sit thru a small commercial before each… But if you want to see the series… It’s online.

In an interview Christopher Walken once explained that he wanted to create a character that would eventually have people write characters toward.

“You know… we need a sort of slightly off center, almost crazy, kinda… you know… Christopher Walken-type. Um, hey… is Christopher Walken available?”

In character acting this is golden. Walken created a type. Other really great actors along that line are the dearly deceased Andreas Katsulas and Vincent Schiavelli.

Actresses have a much harder time at this because you want to create a character, not fall into a stereotype. But sometime the stereotype is great because it does guarantee work. One favourite in recent years who’s gotten great exposure as ‘the older woman’ is Alice Drummond

But recently I was looking thru television actors to see what they’d done previously. As I mentioned, I’ve been heavily into Heroes of late. One of the Actresses on the show is Ali Larter. Ali plays spoiler
