Some of your special characters are showing up weird in the HTML versions.
On my computer (win 98, ie 6, encoding set to western european iso) in the frames one it gets the quotes around Andrei right, but not in the non-frames one. In both your dash between start and end dates looks like a D with a line through it and your bullets are a Y with two lines through it ( mark & yen symbols perhaps). I tried several other encoding choices and still got weird characters.
You would think Word would make something that works in Windows!
Might want to get people with various systems to check it out?
If it is a problem, and you care, then perhaps it should just be more handmade or at least tweaked HTML instead.
If your bullet point were list items (li) in and unordered list (ul) then they’d have bullets that look like bullets for everyone.
If you don’t want to use a regular – between dates try &emdash; which should make a &emdash; and maybe just straight quotes ” or ‘ around Andrei instead of the curly ones. Or copy what you have for them in the frames version to the non-frames one.
If you don’t understand something in this, and want to, let me know.
hrm, in lj at least the &emdash; didn’t work!
Hmm, not working as of 1am tonight, at least it won’t come up on my PC.
