And now we wait

So,it’s now noon. The movers were due here at noon or as early as 10am.

shimmeringjemmy has just gone running for food. I think we’re as ready as we’re going to be for the movers. I am just hoping that everything we plan to take in the vehicle will fit in the vehicle.

Little woozy, but that mey be just the 3.5 hrs of sleep and lack of food.

WHEE!!!!!

Server down time so far: 5 minutes for software update.

I should try to sleep, eh?

Office and den are almost at the point where I can point and walk away from them. I’ve got about another 3-4 hrs of organization.

Tomorrow…err today.. Arrowhead comes and claims the water cooler. They don’t deliver to Washington state. So, I’d have to pay $250 for the cooler. Not worth it. $9.95/month was fine, but if I’m going to buy one, it’ll be through a vendor.

Next week I’ll talk about our really fun surprise that I got on Friday of last week. Don’t worry, we’ll be legal (for the most part) 😉

The list for tomorrow… err today keeps getting longer.

Sp, poker and packing anyone. Wednesday evening?

Tuesday, the voice of the Pittsburgh Steelers on radio, Myron Cope, hung up his microphone.

Now while I have become a die-hard steelers fan over the last 5 years, I rarely listened to Cope’s broadcast. Granted, he was the truest example of the Pittsburgh stereotypical accent that you could find.

Myron (pronounced Mahrn) came up with the terrible towel and came up with the term, “Immaculate Reception.” He is retiring because operations on his throat have not improved his health or his voice.

Prayers and wishes to him in his retirement. The team and the sport will not be the same to the fans who’ve listened to Cope for generations.

A word about back pain

Well, yesterday after a week of mild to severe pain, I figured I should get it checked. Well, to be honest, I felt hospital was a good solution when I got to the point of not being able to walk.

So, I went to emergency and they shot me in the butt with morphine.

They put me on hydrocodone and flexerall. A fun combination. This combined with the morphine made me a very stoned Andrei last night.

Today… many more errands. My task list grows longer even while I pop off tasks.

Today’s list: bank, faxes, changing addresses, more packing boxes, key pickup, etc

The fun stumble of the week was finding out my registration lapses the day we leave, not at the end of the month. Picked up a handy-dandy “one-trip” registration from DMV. This lets me drive the car out of state.

Yesterday I released the analogue files for the local OTO body treasury to my successor. Just organizing the digital files now.
