Production ftp server:
[root@ftp ~]# uptime
14:32:33 up 247 days, 17:14, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
Basically all of our 30 or so Unix systems have been up since the last major power outage to the building (when PG&E was doing some work and we had to shut down for an extended period.)
The above host is in fairly regular use, so I am particularly pleased with those load levels 😉
Our Windows servers…? Well.. they usually are rebooted once a month just to keep them running.
production primary DNS
[root@ns1 ~]# uptime
13:50:57 up 247 days, 15:46, 1 user, load average: 0.04, 0.09, 0.08
Definitely not a Windows DNS server, I see… 😉

Um, yay, I guess…don’t really know what you’re on about, but it sounds positive, so huzzah.
81 days unprotected? 😉
So I take it you haven’t installed any of those security updates Apple periodically pushes out? Or OS X Server not have those?
(I’m assuming it’s OS X since you tagged it with “Mac”…)
I betcha I could reset that counter for ya. 😉
Do you want to put up a bounty?
