Back in September of 2004, I did a lecture on ceremonial rituals. This involved using the word קבּלה. For those of you on non-unicode systems that is loosely spelled kabalah. (the k could be a c, there may or may not be an h on the end, the number of b’s and l’s may vary more than your car’s mileage, יאדא, יאדא, יאדא)

So in October, I decided to look around LJ and find out… how do people think they spell it?

Going back thru old posts today I found this one and decided to update the information. What is the most popular English spelling for the word? Over the past 2 1/2 yrs… have people learned to spell? Does anyone even care about the topic still?

So… I’ve modified the old post with new information.

Administrivia time: Cathcing up

So every 4-8 months I try to post this.

I sometimes (well, rarely) make posts to filters. These filters are things that just will not make the main public page… ever.

Unfortunately if you want to be on these filters you have to do 5 things.

1) Have a livejournal account. (Which makes me feel really bad for Cindee until she hunkers down and bites the bullet.) {Your Auntie Andrei will always love you.}

2) Go to my Administrivia posting which describes my filters (at least the ones I want people to know about)

3) Check off the ones you would like to be on. (Or off if you’re a bored old timer.)

4) Make a comment to that post that you’ve made selections. (You don’t need to say in the comments which ones you’ve chosen. Actually for privacy, you probably shouldn’t. I can read it in the poll) But commenting tells me to look at the poll for your current list.

5) Important: Don’t be disappointed if you don’t see anything. Some of the filters are used rarely. Some you won’t be put on just for asking. (OTO for example requires me to know that you’re an initiate.)

Sounds like a lot.. But it keeps me just that inch further away from insanity.

Jan: Well, the questions from yesterday got pretty well taken down and undertakers on the whole did very well.
Feb: I seem to be the center of IM hell from time to time.
Mar: I will be talking to company X about a full-time job working on project Y that I would absolutely kill to work on.

Jun: A while ago (Nov ’03) to be exact I posted the lyrics to a song by Yes that I really like called, “Changes”
Jul: So… if there is a creature known as the HGA: Holy Guardian Angel; which we might be able to define as the perfected self that tries to lead us toward the path of self perfection…
Aug: Oh dear… the two great tastes that taste great together.
Sep: So… my manager told me that with his first child he kept telling people he was at Defcon 4.
Oct: In the 80’s I paid my way thru college (or more properly earned a couple of bucks on the side) as a professional DJ playing “Top 40” music with an Urban emphasis.
Nov: they decided to torture me again.
Dec: I have been sick since Sunday, November 26th. This would officially make it 5 days now.
