I know that from your point of view that it sucks, but please understand that not everyone has a caring brother that is trying to find them. It sucks that your mom may have done this, but there are people that need that layer of protection. Actually, your sister is one of them it’s just that the wrong person has access to her while you don’t.

I’m so sorry to hear that things are still so shitty. (thanks to my own mother, I can’t get a copy of my own birth cert because my adoption records are sealed. it’s basically an elaborate scheme to keep people from knowing she was divorced.)
I am all too aware of the frustration you must feel. I hope you are able to take comfort in the fact that you are doing all you can to make things turn out okay, which is more than that “mother” is doing. To some people, the illusion of control is all they have…sucks to be them is sort of my response to that. But in the meantime, you appear to have lots of supporters on Lj and elsewhere. That is a great thing!
