The local OTO body that I serve as treasurer (and now class director) has been promoted by the decision makers from Camp to Oasis.
For those who have no idea what this means, the organization has acknowledged that we have been functioning at a higher level that was required. Last year our camp performed the Gnostic Mass over 20 times and performed over 15 initiations. While this is the expectation of a Lodge and a few Oasis, this is considered quite an undertaking for a camp that was teaching a few yoga classes in the first master’s one-bedroom apartment 3 years ago.
I have to tip my hat to everyone who has supported and worked with us to help us grow over the last 3 years. But I especially have to credit lilavati_omkara (the body master without an LJ) and seraphino (the past secretary, now Dep. Master) who have given up more time, resources, and privacy to let this work blossom as it has.
