Cribbed from a post by faerievixen2 as well as one from schnookiemuffin:
I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your journals, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you for your interest in my words.
But here’s a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: “Ah, there’s so and so…they listen in rapture to the love-music of she-turnips.”
I’d love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people whom I know really well. Then post this in your own journal and see what gems of knowledge appear.
« The cuteness it burns I wanted to post something deep… but »
Now I’d really like to hear that “Love Music of the She-Turnips” soundtrack.
See this link for the full album information.
I’m delightfully in love with you π
When I need a random number, I generally pick 37.
I had half of your father in my house.
I was fortunate to get some basic knowledge of Latin, Greek and Hebrew in High School. Not surprisingly I pondered studying Archaeology or Theology, instead I ended up with nursing. Was a funding issus then and it still is…
I despise cockroaches, clowns and baby corn. My own personal hell would be giant cockroaches dressed in clown suits brandishing baby corn.
I generally don’t talk about the music I listen to because people get intimidated by how obscure it is. Like currently I am into a a group of mental patients from North Dakota that play Led Zepplin covers on sausage casings.
I dropped out of college because the degree I wanted to get didn’t exist until almost 20 years later. π
I became a vegetarian mostly to avoid having to eat my mother’s cooking. π
Okay, now that is funny!
the first time i met you I walked in and introduced myself to your family.
im pretty sure if you think really hard you will remember the rest
My favorite movie, bar none, is _Yellowbeard_.
I am a grammar nerd to the Nth degree, though my own grammar is not always perfect. “Everyday” used to mean “each day” annoys me mightily.
I made a grammar change in this meme and now am enjoying seeing friends post it and knowing that their version originally came from me.
I was born to run…..
…and I’m an unabashed smartass too!
That when someone saw the bumper sticker on a car that said, “Anything purple is mine, anything else could be dyed or painted(and I swear, someone bought this for me) “, they said, Oh, Alfie must be here somewhere…”
I used to have an yellow anaconda. His name was Dante and when I got rid of him, he was about six feet long. He’d started biting me every time I tried to feed him or clean his cage, so I gave him to a refuge. I’ve been bitten multiple times by an anaconda, and sadly I don’t have a single scar.
This year, i discovered and throughly enjoyed Patton Oswalt, CSI:Miami, DragonCon, and the White Stripes, among other things that are not coming to mind at the moment. I was a Girl Scout throughout my senior year in high school. I was the only non-Jewish member of my college’s Hillel, and considered (but ultimately did not pursue) converting to Judaism. I know we only met and hung out once when you visited Austin (a group of us saw “Once More with Feeling” at my house), but I had quite an enjoyable time, and hope to see y’all again at some point.
I raced destuction derby for 4 years, not powder puff, full on crashing cars with the guys.
I really wanted to be a medical examiner when I grew up. Then I found out I’d have to become a physician first…
As a result of my OTO 2nd and the actions of the gov’t I turned into a left-wing-gun-nut almost overnight.
I’ve kissed at least five men in your home in Snohomish.
All bisexual.
Gods help us all.
Let’s see, I’m trying to write different things on all of these.
I became a project manager by accident. I got married and left school in Bozeman after finishing all my course work for my degree in Music Education, but before doing my student teaching. The idea was that we’d get married and I’d finish school. Now what happended there is another story entirely. Suffice to say that we got married and I started working for a living – temporary warehouse work. I started working at a printer (K/P) in Kent and was quickly promoted. Then they fired my boss and promoted me to project planner. Quickly I worked my way up and that’s how I became a PM at an ad agency! π
I still think with regret upon not becoming a teacher, but those moments usually don’t come around when I’m cashing my paycheck!
I like the feel of my feet rubbing against my sheets when I’m in bed, I consider long, hot showers, cheese and coffee my guilty pleasures, and I personally think Bjork is one of the ‘coolest chicks on the planet’.
