Well, they are out in full force today. The random IM’ers.

I have a new favourite exchange to make me scratch my head:

Me: So, may I ask how you came across my username
Mrn: yeah
five minutes elapsed
Me: Okay.. you got me. Since you said, “Yeah” I’ll ask. How did you come across my username on Yahoo?
Mrn: yes
Me: sigh

They then Buzzed me so I blocked them. This was then followed by multiple requests to add me to their buddy list.

As a result, the page has been extended again. New rules, new comments.

Absent and introspective

I haven’t been posting a lot of late. And my actual posts of any level of substance have dropped down to almost non-existance.

Oh, sure there is the occasional meme, link, or youtube video. But posting about me… Not a whole lot to go on.

I think I’ve been turning a bit inward.

I find that as much work as I’ve done on myself in the past 10 years to no longer be the awkward 30 year old who felt like a social pariah has been getting misdirected.

Most of my time had evolved into working on getting to do what I liked doing rather than simply doing it. The work had turned into the journey, not the work itself.

Obviously a lot of that changed about 8 months ago. 8 months ago a process began that changed the world from planning for the now, to living in the now.

First off, thanks to all the well wishers and dinner participants (and those that supped with us in spirit due to very heavy conflicts)

For the record, due to moving and 13 x 3 wobbles, shifts, and tilts… I am not solar conjunct until 2pm(P)/5pm(E). This is amusing since I was born at 5:16 am (E).

What did I post today?
1998: A back dated entry that is now private for administrivia.
(Journal started 2001.10.18)
2002: I note that 33 are down and X remain. Then I comment that I am a yoink for pulling an all-nighter.
2003: I take an astrological approach to the day (and currently note broken image links) and comment that more automated services have mailed me than I’d prefer.
2004: shimmeringjemmy is sick, the story of Benihana and Poker.
2005: The amazing paradox. I don’t get to age in 2005.
2006: Be careful what you wish for in 2003. MANY regards this day. 🙂
2007: Well besides this… we shall see.
