Using babelfish on Yahoo ‘China’ site today.
Went to Japan Yahoo without remembering to change the translator from Chinese to Japanese.
It turns out that: 映画 means Movies in Japanese where in Chinese it seems to mean Nose tea.
« MEMEtime: Perhaps I’ve taken this Mass thing too far… TLA: Just brilliant. »

Babelfish is using Systran :). That’s one of the engines we use at work. It’s excellent for the european languages, but does pretty poorly with the Asian languages. Though since you were probably only doing word-for-word on Yahoo’s front page, I imagine your translations weren’t terrible.
Hm…I entered 映画 into the Babelfish Chinese-to-English translator and got “Reflects the Picture”, which seems pretty close to “Movies”…
