To keep the bloggers involved (read: awake) the blogathon site has a few games going. Questions to answer.

This half hour:
So many of us give our blogs funky names. Why did you choose yours.

The easy part is Lord Andrei… Despite sounding all BDSM like… it’s really because I spent 15 years in the SCA and was given the title Lord. Interestingly, I’ve been on the net long enough that adding Lord to the less than common Russian spelling ‘Andrei’ made a handle that is to this day almost always available.

Sure it carries a bit of ostentatiousness and maybe a bit of superiority… but hey.. My journal.. My words.

The interesting this is that Andrei isn’t my birth-name. It’s the name I chose in the SCA that eventually grew to become my legal first name. And that.. is a story in the archives of my Journal.
