Me: I have now missed my mouth, spilled, or choked on liquid for the 4th time in 2 days
H:*laugh*
H: I love you

See, my wife is the opposite. She’s a very tough crowd. I throw out what I think is very strong material, and she gives me the one lifted eyebrow and, occasionally, the ‘eh?’ noise. However, that makes me love her even more, because I’m finding it’s making me actually get funnier. If I make her laugh hard, I know that’s a line that I need to remember and re-use…usually no place particular, like an argument on LJ, or talking to my mom on the phone.
Maybe I should write this shit down?
