Just a quick checklist for milestones over the last 10 days:
- Teeth
- Eating solid food
- Walking
- Going up and downstairs
- Pitching a fit if he doesn’t get his way
When I got the report of “Down Stairs” today I asked shimmeringjemmy
Um does this mean more terror?
She responded:
sure, why not. it’s a way of life at this point 🙂
Have I mentioned how much I love this woman, recently?
It’s a lot… for the record.
How does he travel downstairs?
he faces downstairs, sits, and scootches his butt to the point where his toes touch the next step. stands, wiggles forward until he can sit down on that next step, and repeat. Basically like you would bump down stairs on your butt if each step was as tall as your entire leg was long 🙂
Braver than I was. I learned to go down our stairs at home backwards. Then again, there was no padding, no railing, and they were twice as steep. 🙂 But then again, nobody ever accused my father of being a carpenter. 😀
DOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!
I’m afraid you are correct.
Wow! You do know he’s ahead of schedule for both walking and going downstairs, right? And since every other baby I’ve ever known learned to go downstairs backward, I’m a little afraid of what doing it facing forward means for both his cognitive abilities and his courage.
In other words, you’ve got yourself a cat with thumbs, m’dear.
It’s not a matter of if there’s terror, it’s just a matter of what today’s Threat Level is! Just ask the current administration!
Oh no.
Hide the liquor and car keys. He’ll be heading for those next.
