As I will have extra time over the holidays; it’s anonymous guessing game time again.
Three Simple rules:
1. You ANONYMOUSLY post 3 clues about yourself.
2. I get 3 guesses. For the first two guesses you have to give me another ANONYMOUS clue.
3. After 3 guesses you have to tell.
I am bolding anonymous because sometimes people forget and it kind of blows the entire game.
I may post links to my previous games of this because… well, there are people who left clues who dropped off the net and I never did solve them. Note: you don’t have to be on LJ for this one. But you do need to keep an eye on the post. (track this post)
If you managed to defeat me… You have a choice, you can claim a one of a cheap prize that I already have. Or you can try giving me 3 more clues. Beating me then means a real prize.
Okay… come ‘n’ get me. 😉
BTW: Happy holidays

I worked as a clown when I was 13.
My family moved house 5 times before I started 1st grade.
In kindergarten, I wandered off from a the group on a class field trip.
If anyone is hiding the fact that they were a clown…
Try again
My grandmother was a state tennis champion.
Oh, I have you.
The line “My family moved house 5 times” was bugging me because I was SURE… I’d been told that by someone.
Moved house is not so much a southernism as it is a texasism…
Did you eventually move house into mine?
Re: Oh, I have you.
Bingo!
I have no idea how many times PK moved as a child, but we moved from Tustin to Irvine to Manhattan Beach to Redondo Beach to another house in Redondo Beach to Texas before I entered 1st grade.
My boyfriend and I played the same type of instrument in elementary school.
I think that Global Warming is as much of a fad as Global Cooling was.
I had to scrap my car of ice and snow three separate times today.
Well, you’re not in seattle
Which reduces the possible players to: L.A., SF, Boston, Tucson, and oh yeah… Pittsburgh.
I’m gonna guess that the ol’ burgh is the place under ice this week.
I’ve narrowed from clue 2 down to about 3 people. I just don’t know if the person I’m thinking of plays/played an instrument in HS. So I’ll guess them.
If not… next clue please.
Re: Well, you’re not in seattle
yeap… That was me.
My lowest weight as an adult was 85 pounds, my highest, 185 pounds.
I don’t play a musical instrument.
In Chinese astrology, I’m a tiger.
I don’t think you’ve ever been that big… but
I’m going to guess
Re: I don’t think you’ve ever been that big… but
Wrong.
Next clue: You’ve seen me naked.
Re: I don’t think you’ve ever been that big… but
I’m a pagan in Seattle with a membership at SPCC. I think I’ve seen just about everyone naked.
So I’l start with Seattle.
Guessing by age I’ve narrowed it; I don’t think has ever been that big; I don’t think has ever been at either of those extremes… but it’s possible.
Re: I don’t think you’ve ever been that big… but
Gah! You got me!!!
85 lbs was at 18 years old (ok, *technically* an adult); 185 was the day I gave birth of course. 😉
Clever boy. No prize for me.
Re: I don’t think you’ve ever been that big… but
Nah, I’ll give you the cheap prize for playing. Especially if you drop by to visit tonight. 🙂
Re: I don't think you've ever been that big… but
We would love to drop by but we have *romantic date* plans alone together in our hot tub. 😉
If it were any other plans we’d love to be at your place, but we’re feeling the need to cocoon. We may even do some private ritual to bring in the New Year.
But I’ll take a raincheck on a visit–I think the boys enjoy each other almost as much as the adults do!
I grew up in many different states as a kid.
I ended up in a profession that surprised everyone.
My favorite color is green.
Let’s try another approach
Re: Let’s try another approach
Nope, try again!
Next Clue
I love singing and have a wide range of music I enjoy.
Re: Let’s try another approach
With a voice like an angel, I’ll pick,
Re: Let’s try another approach
Nope, not them either.
Let’s try another one
I’ve never been to an entire Mass.
Re: Let’s try another approach
This was so good I had to phone a friend.
I IM’ed. Here’s why.
The final clue suggests someone who left the only mass they’ve attended and I was there. Suggesting. But I really wouldn’t know any of the rest.
She pointed out that the career really came as a surprised to very few and that she only lived in 2 states growing up. However, she did suggest that could fit the bill.
So, I’m going to go with‘s suggestion and guess . Though I still can’t really tie the mass thing to that.
Re: Let’s try another approach
Hey, no where in the rules was phone a friend 😛
But still wrong. Want to try again?
Re: Let’s try another approach
Point. So.. you win the cheap prize right off the bat.
Would you like to try for the 3 more clues and the bigger prize?
Re: Let’s try another approach
Nah, I’m good where I am.
My mother is wrong btw, I count not only WA and NC (where I was born) but also LA, FL, and AL where I spent months during summers with my dad.
And she was pretty much the only one Not surprised by my career choice. Everyone else was asking me how on earth I’d do it given that I personally hated going to the doctor.
But you where right, the only gnostic mass I’ve been to I left part way through to entertain A upstairs where everyone thought he was actually mine.
Re: Let’s try another approach
Well, FWIW… I didn’t ask D_S until I’d thought it miiiight be you.
but you’re right.. I didn’t say I might phone a friend. So I’ll probably send you my qualifying gift anyways as a thanks for playing 🙂 Anonymously leave me your email on this thread of comments and my gift will go out this evening
I used to like baseball.
Numerical coincidences fascinate me.
My great-grandfather was a Freemason.
You know, I’m just gonna have to keep guessing until I’m right.
I think I remember D telling me his grandfather was a F’mason.
Nope. Next clue: I’m female.
This is what we in the industry call a SWAG:
Silly wild ass guess.
I have four double-jointed toes.
I had no co-workers for my first three jobs.
I took Latin for three and a half years.
On an unrelated note…. telling me of all people the first clue if you’re female might have side effects. 😉
I’m going to start with:
Non.
I have been to Japan twice, both during the Christmas holiday season.
You’ve been to Japan? Twice. Wow.
(Still working off the assumption that you are female)
Non.
I have made relatively long-term jobs out of two of my hobbies.
You sooooo almost had me… (and may still 😉
Would this be the mysterious yet increasingly intriguing
Re: You sooooo almost had me… (and may still 😉
Bingo!
I actually should amend that to three hobbies. Anime, comics, and soap. XD
1. I am a lifelong Western Pennsylvanian.
2. We have met only once.
3. I am inexplicibly excited by Yuengling Porter.
On this one we’re going to try
Incorrect.
4. I’m currently sitting in‘s dining room.
Well, having no idea what “Yuengling Porter” was… I was going to suggest Lake, but then I looked it up… and I’m going to guess…it’s not Lake.
So I’ll punt for another clue.
Definitely not Lake. 😉
5. I own
toomany pairs of boots.Boots! We met at Crucible.. and by birth… share a 4 letter name that I have since discarded.
Is that right GiGi?
(who’s lj name I can’t remember)
Yarr.
I haven’t discarded that name, which (given my girlfriend and your wife also have the same first name) causes some minor lulz among some mutual associates.
You GREW UP in PA.
I’m so ashamed 🙂
3 clues, baby
1- Sometimes I find women attractive
2- I waited 9 months into my first long term relationship to have sex
3- Sometimes I don’t think people know I’m poly because I’m incredibly picky.
Re: 3 clues, baby
I’m going to wishfully think
Re: 3 clues, baby
Wrong.
Re: 3 clues, baby
Will there be another clue for two more guesses?
Re: 3 clues, baby
I came exceedingly close in 2008 to testing to become a police officer.
Re: 3 clues, baby
I’ll go for broke and try something entirely random:
Re: 3 clues, baby
Wrong again.
Next clue.
I have had my current job for almost 7 years.
Re: 3 clues, baby
Re: 3 clues, baby
Do we keep doing clues until you figure me out?
My favorite color is hunter green.
My number one passion is writing, but my muse is dormant.
I wear glasses to read but rarely wear them.
I am not a strong singer, but I do it for the sake of spirituality.
Re: 3 clues, baby
Well, you fooled me on 3 guesses. So you qualify for my ‘cheap prize.’
3 more guesses and you get the better prize.
Granted, I’m honestly sure how well I know you to begin with 🙂
I think that actually did test and become on police officer.
Re: 3 clues, baby
One thing is for sure, huh? You’d know me a slight bit better after this game.
We’ll keep going for a bit.
Beards are a bit of turn off for me in a partner.
I don’t like long hair on 90% of men.
I am an animal lover.
I was born in Seattle.
Re: 3 clues, baby
Okay… random guess time. I think I’ll need a clue that I might be able to climb through to make a better guess 😉
Currently I’m going to go with
Re: 3 clues, baby
Last clue:
I am in the OTO.
Re: 3 clues, baby
Then I’m going to punt. Because I think you’ve got me beat.
Final guess is:
Re: 3 clues, baby
Ahhh, my friend.
It is me.
-Angela
Re: 3 clues, baby
I might also qualify this with the ONLY reason I have yet to test is because I became injured right before it was possible.
And now I must wait until I’m 110% healed before I can.
😉
-Angela
1- My favorite RHPS song is ‘Sweet Transvestite’ and I’ve been known to sing it at karaoke.
2- I am as likely to play female characters in role playing games as I am to play male characters.
3- Lately I find myself listening to a lot of Sisters of Mercy.
Try again!
I wear a 3x or 26/28 top.
BZZT
You probably see one of my ex’s far more often than I do.
I just screwed the pooch. DAMMIT, I would have had you, too. ;P
Once upon a time, I went to Seattle.
Forty degrees is cold. No, really, it’s COLD. DON’T YOU LAUGH AT ME.
The longer I stay away from Tennessee, the more I sound like a recent transplant. I don’t even understand it.
Once upon a time, I fell in love with a book about a girl and her ghosts…
Her author came to Seattle from Tennessee too.
Is this?
Nope.
I need to convince someone to buy another bottle of Everclear for me as an early half-birthday present. I got two bottles for my birthday (last year, at this point), but my roommates are inconsiderate bastards and keep drinking my hooch!
Hey! I forgot about this tab!
So, no, I’m not that one either.
I have one double jointed thumb. This is an important clue.
This guess is going to have to be
1. I meet famous people online and friend them before I know they are famous, which many seem to find entertaining.
2. I have never lived outside of the Pacific Northwest.
3. I have never seen more than 2 old Doctor Who episodes.
Just guessing 🙂
Nope.
I did not read the rules closely enough, so you actually got three more clues from me a few minutes ago on a separate comment.
I may as well post them here.
4) I am under 30.
5) I wear glasses, but only sometimes.
6) I met you through a theater production.
I answered these three elsewhere.
Nope again.
Would you like another clue?
Well you one the cheap prize.
3 more guesses gets you the bigger prize.
At various times in my childhood, my hair was anywhere from chin-length to waist-length.
Aww. You’ve told me that to my face in the past:
Did I? Oh darn it.
So much for obscure clues.
1) I’m under 30.
2) I wear glasses, but only sometimes.
3) I met you through a theater production.
Well from 1&2 I’d guess … but I met you through
But I think on this I can go with
It’s me. You met me because brought and I to you because we could sing, for Rite of Venus. 🙂
This may have posted twice. My apologies.
I once played 6 major characters in one play.
I have one and a half siblings.
I have lived out of the country for 12.5% of my life.
This one I think I know… Have I ever co-habitated with you?
Guess reserved until response.
Ohh, pointed questions might be cheating. 😉
And yes.
Only person I’ve ever heard use the phrase one and a half siblings was
Where did you live outside the country?
Gah. Foiled so easily. 🙂
I lived in Germany from age 3-6. Little brother was born there.
not quite the cheeseburger but maybe the turkeyburger
1. You got me into loving Rocky Horror Picture Show.
2. I remember your cat Frosty
3. You even turned me onto Sushi.
