The Testament According to the Prophet Treynmatt:
Chapter I: South Park airs “Out of the Closet” – an episode that skewers Scientology
Chapter II: Issac Hayes (Chef) leaves in a huff that South Park would demean a (his) religion.
Chapter III: Tom Cruise pressures Viacom (Comedy Central’s owner) to not re-air “Out of the Closet”
Chapter IV: Trey Parker and Matt Stone file a response in Entertainment Industry Trade, “Variety Magazine”
So, Scientology, you may have won this battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun!
Temporarily anozinizing our episode will not stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies.
Curses and drat! You have obstructed us now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu.
–Trey Parker and Matt Stone, servants to the dark lord Xenu

That whole thing is just so funny. Isaac Hayes doesn’t have a leg to stand on here.
Ultimately, not reairing the episode just means more people will download it, and they will lose advertising money. And later, less people will own it. Luckily, I have already recorded both of this seasons terribly offensive episodes.
At least nobody’s dying over religious cartoons here.
It cracks me up that Hayes didn’t object to bashing until it was his religion being bashed. People are so f’ing funny.
