EDIT: I’m sorry I should mention that this takes place at the tail end of Series 3 and thus potentially contains some minor spoilers.
This link is certain not to last… So enjoy it while you can:

Was that the original BBC ending of last season? Because it’s f’ing brilliant. Gave me goosebumps and everything.
thanks for the mention
I’ve edited the post to note that this special was written to be tacked in between the end of season 3 and the upcoming Christmas special. It fits in perfectly but as a result is a bit of a spoiler if you haven’t seen series 3.
Parenting note: gets all excited and happy when the theme of the show comes on. (squee) I made a new Doctor Who fan 🙂
Re: thanks for the mention
That’s awesome. I wonder if it will be on the DVDs.
Micah doesn’t watch Dr Who with us because he goes to bed too early.
But isn’t it cool when they recognize a theme song?
*smiles* Gotta be an actor’s dream. To star in a show you idolized as a kid only to stand next to one of the very actors you idolized, and tape a show together. The reverence on those last lines. That wasn’t acting. That was David actually being a fan!
Oh, thank you!
I thought that started Season 4 ..
ok, now I am *really* confused. I remember seeing the season finale, and this is it, but I don’t remember the fifth doctor being in it… i remember the doctor hearing alarms at the beginning, and then the Titanic crashes through the wall. It’s almost like about 8 extra minutes were spliced in here??? sorry if i’m missing something obvious here…
Thank you for that…
Gods that was Greaaaaaat!
We didn’t have that one yet here did we.
I have now 2 young Dr. Who fans I am raising…. the lovvvvve the Dr.
We religiously watch it taped. We have to.
Sighs. It made me cry. 🙂
OMG – thank you!!!! That was *so sweet!* Very touching. I’m only a recent Dr. Who fan, but I understood everything that was going on.
“Because you were *my* Doctor.” Awwwww! *sniffle*!
Dr Who-ville
That was fab! Thank you.:) I think, if I remember correctly, that that particular incarnation of Dr Who wasn’t very popular with the UK viewers, so it’s nice to see him getting some overdue props.
